Marshall Islands Corporate Registry Offers Free Redomiciliation

The corporate registry of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) believes that the use of certain jurisdictions to initiate a business has become impractical. Jurisdictions that were once business-friendly now have less-than-satisfactory ratings from international regulators, and some are not politically stable. Recognizing these issues, RMI is currently offering free re-domiciliation. The choice of RMI for redomiciliation (domestication) allows business entities to retain any existing assets and liabilities when moving to a jurisdiction that is stable and has a favorable rating from international regulators.

RMI is a modern and stable corporate jurisdiction that provides the flexibility and efficiency of the services required by corporate users. All non-resident internal business entities registered with RMI are governed by the RMI Associations Act. The RMI Association Act is primarily based on the corporate law of the state of Delaware in the United States.

With 36 commercial entities listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) or the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASDAQ) Automated Quotations, RMI has become the preferred jurisdiction for many multinational companies.
